The most important and universal binder used in ceramics is clay. Due to elastico-plastic behaviour of clay in combination with water, clay paste takes any desired shape, which after a lapse of time acquires some rigidity and strength.
Rkfow series polymers range are excellent organic dispersant and deflocculating agent for natural earth used to increase solid slip and viscosity in clay. They are used as grinding aid, dispersing and deflocculating agent for clays, ceramics, electro-ceramics, ferrites and refractories.
In general ceramic industry is deflocculating clay by small addition of water in such a way that the clay slip fluid enough to give to product the desired shape. To achieve a stable suspension of clay , which can easily be pumped , addition of deflocculating agent is required.

Binders are the substance that improve the mechanical strength of green ceramic bodies so they can pass through production steps, before firing, without breakage.
RKBIND is combined with ceramics minerals and water to form slurry paste which has firm net like structure that provides both plasticity and body strength to unfired green body both in wet and dry state. Upon firing at high temperature in Kiln organic binder is burned away.
